Support engineering as a lever for educational innovation’ is an Erasmus + KA2 and European Union cooperation project run by the Innovation Experimentation Research department of the EAFC in Lyon to promote international dialogue between education professionals and those involved in research and educational innovation.
Transnationales, a 36-month partnership between 9 organisations and 6 countries, aims to establish a European overview of educational innovation in Europe.
This collaboration, involving 9 organizations from Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania, France, and Portugal, aims to establish a European overview of pedagogical innovation.
Program Overview
The first transnational meeting was organised by the Innovation Experimentation Research Department of the École Académique de la Formation Continue (EAFC) in Lyon and brought together delegations from the 6 partner countries: Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania, France and Portugal in January 2024.
As part of the programme for this event, Thealingua, supported by Cous et Jardins and Centre Creal, organised a workshop in which participants got to know each other and mobilised their bodies to recognise and physically reconnect with each other, in preparation for group work and the implementation of the observation grid.
A second meeting in March as part of the cross-mobility programme, we are welcoming delegations from Romania and Portugal to observe the Thealingua method being applied in schools in Berlin.
How does this method serve as a tool for language teachers?
How does it encourage alternative teaching approaches, prioritizing the body, creativity, space, and active pedagogy over traditional methods?
This program of cross-cultural exchanges will run for three years—stay tuned!
Objectives of the Meetings
To take a cross-cultural look at innovative teaching and learning techniques and practices in each of the participating countries.
Co-constructing a coherent and useful set of documentary resources, methods, tools and teaching aids.
Organised around 3 areas of work: the notion of educational innovation, support for innovation and ongoing training for those involved.
Encouraging, supporting, developing and creating partnerships.
Languages
Working languages: French, German, Romanian, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian.
With Thealingua’s method, language is approached in a playful and interactive way, moving beyond traditional academic study.
The body takes precedence over words.
Communication relies heavily on non-verbal interaction.
Understanding combines language, space, and physical expression.
This method is shared with educators, offering them a new approach to language teaching.
